Slings always come in handy, just buy a couple of reasonable ones, they are cheap enough there isnt much point in messing around.

Longer than 1.5 m though - much longer. 3m maybe? Not sure exactly as it's been ages since I looked under the desk!

They look identical to seatbelt material. Any reason they are single use? Seems wasteful when they would likely be fine if sharp edges are protected.
