Red Rover was the thing for me all those years ago . I think it cost 2 and 6 and free travel all over London on the busses and tube and the green line I think. Science and natural history museum all free, spend the summer holidays as kids visiting everywhere. Worked and drove all over London for my living. Would not return for anything. It's not the same.Have not been in London in many years, i'd love to be able to have the money and spend a month seeing it again, wandering around, Tower bridge, the Globe, Brunels tunnel, Tate modern, HMS Belfast and all that.
p.s, you weren't putting up a crane by any chance ?

My first proper trip since lockdown today (am home working and shielding) one hour 40 minute drive from Lochgilphead to Alexandria (Vale of Leven Hospital), starting back up my cancer treatment. Was shocked at the amount of bikes, campervans and cars with boats on trailers or kayaks on roof. Holiday season starting late i suppose.
Hospital was good with cordoned off passageways, masks and sanitizers everywhere and temp check before you can get in to the cancer ward. Hospital was the quietest I have seen it: car park half full.
Felt very strange being out, wish I had taken the bike, though the wife insisted on coming to drive back in case i was not up to it.
I felt quite paranoid walking near folk when at the hospital, though my skull facemask and AC/DC Highway to Hell teeshirt may have not been the most appropriate apparel...
A lad came to fix the cooker today (under warranty), he was telling me his local pub had a disused shop connected to it that was owned by the pubs owner. They opened up the shop as grocer's where you could buy the basics, with the landlord serving there. If you were alone, he would ask you if he knew you did you want a drink, and they had a door connecting to the pub out the back.
Reckoned they were never so busy, as everyone was off work .

Went out today for the first time since March.

Just been out for dinner tonight. Perfect. Decent spacing between tables, could actually have a proper chat without music or people drowning you out.
Am I the only one waiting for the glut of low priced used polycarbonate coming up in the next twelve months?.. As for talking to people through a perspex screen, I'll happily pass on that.
I was thinking exactly the same thing last week. Any ideas what we can make from them? Although 'second spike' may mean they are a long time getting to the market.Am I the only one waiting for the glut of low priced used polycarbonate coming up in the next twelve months?
What you gonna make though..lolAm I the only one waiting for the glut of low priced used polycarbonate coming up in the next twelve months?
