just a heads up that lidl are doing some welding consumables on offer from 02/01/09

Hmmm, just had the email myself, won't be rushing out to buy anything, £16.65 for 5kg wire, tenner for a mask which looks like it would be at home on the antiques roadshow, £3.40 for gauntlets you can get for a couple of quid a pair and £3.90 for a kilo of 6013s .

yer admit the gear isnt as good as in the past but maybe of use to someone

£3.90 for a kilo of welding rods, blimey my welding supplier would love to sell them to me at that price, unless of course they are esab rods or vodex ones then i happy pay £3.90 a kilo.

funny it always make laugh, flap discs in B&Q almost £10. for £10 a flap disc weldequip buy 10 at that price and weldequip will give you a free grinder, roflmao. I know you are buying them single but in packs 10 from a welding supplier they are about £2.50 each.

Its how some of the retailers make money sell you an arc welder for £40, possibly at a loss but over charge you foor consumables and make vast profit on them

I was temped got a reciprocating saw instead better for what i do. Work well the blades are poo.

Yeah it was a good deal,l went onto the revolution web site and it was about £289 on there.
