This year edition has been heavily improved .
Still far from perfection but it's workable I might say .
The bench and it's vise are stronger .any details on the improvements? there was a lot of negative response among fb parkside users reporting every fault possible; geometry issues/allround play everywhere, speed potentiometer failure, belt driving wheels simply breaking apart, worn gear train. How are they better now? I am just curious because version changes also concern acu drills and other tools that I own (a1 b2 d3 markings), I can hardly see any difference between the drills for eg., are there any visible on the bandsaw then?

The shoelace reviewers beg to differ Matt.I've come to the conclusion, over time, that most people who tend to post reviews online are so thick & clueless that it's a surprise they can manage to tie their own shoelaces.

Erm no, that's a cast aluminium wheel with toothed belt tyre

Oh and the plastic gears are rather nice steel running in needle roller bearings

i feel rather lucky to have got mineIt's the £99.99 Lidl one - the reason I took the wheel off was because the tyre was not seated property - worth checking.
Then I saw the rather nice cast aluminium gear cover and couldn't resist - very impressed.
