Lidl plasma cutter

Called in tonight, just before closing to see what they were putting out for tomorrow. No sign of any plasmas so I asked a staff member how many plasma cutters they had.
'They're not in yet, coming on tonight's delivery. I've got an e-mail that might tell me how many we're getting'.
After checking his phone he said there are 13 coming in.

I'm taking no chances & I'll be waiting at their door at 8am!

After you get one , please make a review here ,with some photos as we can be very sad for didn't get one of this little piece of technology

Where in the UK are they getting these plasma cutters? Is it NI? Not seen mention of them here (Scotland).

Yes they are on today in NI.
I'm going to pick one up to replace the Draper "Expert" one I have that went pop.

I'll report back when Ive have it set up.

It's not like us to get things first!

No, I thought it more of an opportunity for NI.
We could turn ourselves in to one huge "free port area"

Mind you I thought the whole point of Brexit for a lot of people was to get back to the imaginary "good old days"

Got mine! However, I'm a little disturbed (No sniggering at the back ) and puzzled that there was no FM to RT. This is the first time I've ever opened a box of any kind of equipment in which there was no manual. It's a little anti-climax, but a quick call to Customer Service has sorted that out, and it's been emailed to me within a minute of getting off the phone. We're good to go

There were 10 at my closest branch this morning at 8:10am, so I don't know if there were maybe a dozen to start with, or if I got the first one.

there were 15 guys standing outside my local Lidl this morning. I wonder how many were there for the plasma torch... I spent the last couple of days tormenting myself about buying one. In the end I decided I didnt have anything that my bandsaw or 4.5 inch grinder couldnt handle. Looking forward to the reviews from you guys though.

Dcal..when I said the good old days I meant the bad old days for NI.

I picked up two at 8am in Tullamore, one for myself and one for a mate. decent queue for compressors and abrasive chop saws.

Will hopefully get a few minutes in the workshop tonight to give it a go.

I got there at 8am, quite a few cars outside & no queue at the door - they had opened a few minutes early!

Fearing the worst I grabbed a trolley & rushed inside, straight up to where I had spotted the sign for the plasma cutters last night. By the time I got to the stand there were only 8 plasmas left, with 3 guys having a debate whether or not to buy one. I quickly grabbed one & then joined the debate.

Their main worry was the availability of consumables, I told them it used a standard torch & cheap consumables were widely available online (I hope I was correct ). While we were talking a few more went, 2 of the guys grabbed one each, another guy came along & got 2 & by the time I was heading for the till they were all gone, in just 15 minutes! Good thing I got there early!
