I have an eBay China USB one -
For the £6 or whatever it cost, its very occasionally a useful tool, but even then its a real struggle to use, due to the poor picture quality, and the lack of any sort of stiffness to the wire.
Half the time you don't know which way is up, or what its caught on, or even what you are looking at.
We have a hand held, with stiff metal flex thing at work, and its way more useful.

I wanted one of the Lidl ones but they were all gone by the time I got to the shop!
Did you ask at the till ? Sometimes the higher value smaller items aren't put out on display, in case they get ncked.
Well I got one 
, my missus popped in on Friday and they still had them for sale.
Anyway I've had a play and it's a cracking bit of kit, thanks again for the heads up I'm very impressed with it. Great picture and I love the fact you can rotate the picture on the screen by pressing a button, the expensive one they had at my previous job didn't have that function.

The app that i downloaded has that function aswell, or i could just turn the phone around. 3.5 meter length cable aswell.

Yep, I did ask - none left. They kindly rang the next nearest store & they were sold out too.
My own fault, it was Thursday afternoon when remembered they were coming in

If it's anything like my local store, they put the Thursday bargain buys out late Wednesday evening ready for the following day, I've bought a few things like that.

I have one on order. I looked through some recommendations and chose one that somebody had posted some example photos from. Hasn't arrived just yet but when it does I'll post a quick review.
JUST A WARNING: Loads of people have reported that the CD on the China ones contains a virus of some sort. Some have solved this by copying the files to their PC and cleaning the files with anti-virus.

I didnt use the CD. I scanned the first QR code on the instructions and got an app called AN97 that worked.
You could go to the Google Play Store and just download a USB camera app from there.
Im quite impressed with the camera.

I dont know if i can help you much over the forum, but would like to atleat try.
My phone is a Motorola Moto g and i scanned the left QR code of the 3 in the instructions and it gave me an app called AN97.
AN97 is printed on the sides of the box, so im assuming thats the kind of camera it is. I tried all the QR code apps and one called endoscope worked aswell, but wasnt as nice as the AN97 app. I plugged it into my laptop with the adapter supplied and it worked straight away with the camera app that came with Windows 10, the same app that used for the built in webcam.
Try it in your laptop
Try it in a different phone if you can.

I know it does not help you over in Ireland but I bought one from the South End Lane (South East London) shop this afternoon, they still had twenty odd of them left. I had a little play and other than the worry that I will loose the little mirror down a spark plug hole, all looks good.I wanted one of the Lidl ones but they were all gone by the time I got to the shop!

What model phone? It has to be one that natively supports external camera or it'll never see it.
