i was looking at getting one from machinemart , there's is £60
same size belts as one from MMart - 50x686
same size stone 150x20x12.7
workzone one is 150rpm more

so what you think of it for £30. worth it or are they crap ?
Lidl's own brand sounds ok but I foolishly bought a Challenge belt sander from Aldi and it ate drive belts. They literally melted! Their rubber material ran and stuck all over the pulleys. When I studied it more closely I found that the two pulley axes were skewed. The biggest pulley leaned over so far that that the belt rubbed on the casing. I didn't know about the length of the guarantee so I tried to dismantle the machine to get the pulley axes aligned better, but I'm stuck because the bigger pulley refuses to come off its shaft. I need it to come off so that I can see how its shaft's bearing is mounted, so that I can straighten up the relevant parts. Aldi weren't much help. They couldn't recognise the Challenge model number and kept asking for Aldi's product code instead. I've long since lost the box and guarantee so I'm stuck. WHAT A SILLY BOY I AM! Anyone know how to remove the pulley?Tempted to get the belt sander in lidl, for cleaning up metal before welding etc, anyone used it before for this?
