Just a fairly basic 4x4 CNC router. All I can fit in the workshop at the moment, if it pays it's way then I'll get a big one when I move workshops next year.

One with a second double end horizontal spindle would be good.

Print out the letters on your 3d printer 5mm smaller all round. Put foil on the mdf, screw your stencil letters on and run around them with a plasma cutter? Never done it but have accidentally cut thinish wood neatly like that!

or one of those wood router bits with a guide bearing

Print it onto a piece of paper, put it upside down on some glass and go over the outline with a 2B pencil. Stick it the right way up on the MDF and go over the outline again which will transfer the pencil outline to the MDF.
Alternatively, cut out letters stick them to MDF and cut them out with jigsaw.
