Jigsaw in MDF then lots of hand filing

Unless you particularly want to make it London water jet will do mdf, not far away and I’ve found them top notch and reasonable prices

I’m gonna have a go myself. I havent played in the workshop for months

I use a photo transfer medium, basically you print the mirror image of what you want to put on the wood, coat with the medium then place the photo or what ever on the wood, leave to dry then wash off the paper and the image is on the wood. Photos look great when on a light wood like maple, would work well on your project methinks.

Ive many offers of help in the thread and via PM.

I appreciate that ere are easier, faster and more professional ways to do this. But this for me is a get me back into the play pen project. Ive been quite busy with work and family life for the last little while and workshop stuff has taken a back seat

Now that you folk have thrown a few ideas i have a slightly more developed plan, albeit in my head

Inspiration came from a dance i went to last weekend. Channel One is one of the most respect reggae sound man out there.

I think it will be quite cool to copy his concept but with my own design

A fun little project for the winter nights, to be made with what i have kicking around at home

Print mirror image using a laser printer (or photocopier). Then place printed side face down and iron the back of it. The toner will re melt and some will transfer to the wood

Just a fairly basic 4x4 CNC router. All I can fit in the workshop at the moment, if it pays it's way then I'll get a big one when I move workshops next year.

One with a second double end horizontal spindle would be good.
