Lens falling off light?

Following my dad in January and a rear light lens fell off, it was well damaged from being driven over so I bought another light.
Few weeks ago the nearside light lens fell off.
I bought another light unit. But the lens glue is partly un-adhered.
I wanted to put a nice bead of tiger seal around the light unit[ I couldn't find any tiger seal stylee stuff].
Is the lens falling off lights common?
Any preferred goo for fixing them?

Of course it is, or maybe it isn’t. However it can happen, should it, no never, but it does.

How do you access the bulbs if they require changing ?
only asking because if you sika the lens on then you most likely will not be able to remove it.

Hot glue gun and glue stick should do that job well enough

I was thinking acrylic or polurethane.

Sika, PU, silicone anything will do, not blu tack or pritt stick though.

Bloke offered me part refund or my dosh back if I returned the light, "just needs a squirt of super glue mate".
But now it sounds like he doesn't want to give me a part refund, so I am probably going to be sending the light back.
