il stick to gas welding it may be slightly slower but far neater and no snots of weld to grind off

This is true, but I liken this to Britain's got Talent or the X factor.

Surely he must have a relative or friend, that would say "Look mate, you can't sing weld" ?

Ive known a few people like that and its always best to humour them rather than be straight up honest as he strikes me as the sort of guy that doesn't take criticism well, they operate on a different level to most of us.

Sad thing is…there are plenty whod be proud, because they've never been taught what good looks like…..

A few years ago my mrs bought some garden furniture….went to collect it from the guys second shed….through the first shed where he was making roof racks to sell on Faceache market place and Freelander groups. Basically galv conduit and pigeon poo from an old buzz box. Scary….I tried to explain the benefits of clean new steel and a gas mig, but he knew best as he'd sold two with out any complaints.
