led light glows a bit when off?

fitted an outside led pir light ...seems to glow a bit when off ??

think ive seen talk of it on here , im not a elec whizz , just fitted it in place of the the old one, can anyone explain whats occurring? thanks

oh really...assumed there was a fault , its only the slightest shimmer

There was another recent thread discussing this, it’s very common.

its more down to bleed through on the line from other lights

on the strip lights it was different a wire swap for those but the pir is different

My garage ones do it for a short time after being turned off.

It’s usually either an induced voltage, from other cables nearby running along the same route, or sometimes from the neutral line I believe. A double pole switch where the neutral and live are switched may help, but if it’s an outside light and no one is bothered then I’d ignore it.

ok as long as its safe i dont mind if it glows

Mine did that because I had the live running to the lights and switched the neutral return. following advice here I switched the wiring so the switch turned off the live feed and they all go out properly now.
