LED Christmas lights

I am not that good with electricery, so here is the issue, I have inherited the old LED light strings from our village Christmas tree, 3 bins of them, 30 x 5 mtr strings......... I need to replace the Christmas lights on my house, the light strings connect together, apparently the transformer can run around 10 strings, so far so good, I only have one 24v transformer with a box inline, I may need to run a second transformer, what is the box called, seems to be an AC to DC converter to run the LED's as they only work with the correct polarity DC current?? secondly what is that type of plug / socket called as I would like to find a cable with them and better still a splitter cable? or I could resort to cutting the ends off some of the strings I have and crimping wires together ...................

The LEDs will work with AC but can flicker then. These lights mainly need the right voltage to light up.

I assume each led has it's own resistor so one doesn't need a current limited power supply.

I used to use old power bricks (transformers) with a suitable voltage, 24V seems to work, though a lot of these lights want 31V to get to full brightness. I save all bricks incase I need one as a spare. You can also find spare transformers for lighting strings like this in stores nowadays.
