so should i take the paint back and get my money back? im fed up with not being able to get quality product in ireland,i got therest of my primer in england and it had a different hardener but have to wait till i take the car to take that home

Where did you buy it squazy ? Initials vb by any chance ?

calbro motor galway, i knew the way it was going on something wasn't right, i had decided that if this was the way it was then i wasnt able to paint!

i presume the only solution to this is remove all paint and start again,it seems to be starting to cure,now that ive just threw the car outside lol,what a day

I would'nt chance it mate, even if it skins over, there is a chance of crazing under the primer/top coat in the future.

When i used to do a bit of spraying years ago it was all cellulose and pretty basic as was the kit you needed, etch primer, primer , paint , clear if doing metallic and that was it. When i started doing bike bits recently i found the shop assistants pretty unhelpful and sometimes downright rude if you question whats needed.
The crowd you are dealing with might have sold you what they did just to **** you off or get rid of you.

362 is the lechler medium topcoat hardener for mac 1 paint. This I's completely different from epoxy hardener. You also need the epoxy thinner

yea has to come off, its still soft enough to leave a mark in with your nail,no good at all,yesterday i went back to the shop i got the paint in and they agreed it was the wrong hardener and gave my money back but they said that they rang the lechler rep in dublin and he gave them the mis information so they have put in a claim for 6 hrs labor and sundry, im sure they will drag their heels on this one and just hope ill forget about it,I WONT! whats the best way to get this crap off now? scraper/wire brush on grinder?

try a bit of celly on a rag to start with. Whats underneath it?

bare metal, you mean celly thinners?

yes. Should wash it off. Abrasives and wire brushes will clog.

got a fresh batch of primer today and guess what!!!!! its a solid lump of epoxy at the bottom of a can of separated solvent, what it is to live in ireland,cant get anything right,this is why all the ******* over here use etch....you cant get anybody that knows how to supply epoxy,what a fail, is there anything i can do to reconstitute the epoxy?
