Did you thin the paint after mixing with the hardener?
I've never tried brushing 2 K but with results like that it would be a well worth doing.

sorry for late reply. just a splash of thinners. i used to buy the special lechler thinner (00516 i think) but after reading on here that pro's were just using normal 2k thinner i've used that ever since and never had any problems

What topcoat did you use ,I didn't think u could brush 2k (apart from epoxy ) ??? I know very little about paint tho !

i use mipa 2k gloss black from ebay. nice and thick before thinning. i used clostermann before and that was like water in comparison

close relative but not mini. 1972 vanden plas 1300 this engine came from a scrap 1968 mg 1300 i bought 12 years ago from ebay it has the sought after 11 stud 70hp engine similar to the original cooper s

Nice. And when they ( mg rover) brought out the mg metro, how much power did it have? - 70bhp! Albeit from a single carb, but not much had changed. The metro mostly went around corners though, well it did if you cut down the hydrolastics at the front and put a pair of spax adjustables on. Didn't like lift off mid corner though, spun mine twice
