I tthink tinman said he had one.
No, not that old, purchased couple on years ago.Was your old Lenser torch old by any chance? The new cases for example are really nice. I think my case looks allot better than the one in the pic (that may just be my opinion, and mine may be allot newer than your).

I'm not going to quote all of the legal posts, this is in reply to them though. I just asked an armed policeman that I know, he said if you have a valid reason for having it they won't bother you. If you're carrying it with no reason they will. In my instance he said that'd be fine
I don't carry it in my pocket, I put it in my truck and if I'm using it allot I put it on my belt. I don't do that too often but it's always handy to have it thereI must be the exception I don't carry a leatherman nor any other multi tool. I can't think of anything more awkward than keeping a chunk of metal in my pocket. It's bad enough having to carry a mobile phone and wallet.

Unfortunately this is no longer strictly true due to several pieces of case law, I used to carry a swiss army knife until I was advised by two different people to stop as it wasn't worth the hassle it could cause me and having spent many hours reading up on it I rarely cary one.

Heres some of the guidance that a magistrate may use
http://www.cps.gov.uk/legal/l_to_o/offensive_weapons_knives_bladed_and_pointed_articles/
The advise given to me was, leave it in the house until needed, if you must carry one keep it in the vehicle tool kit out of sight and not in the glove box readily to hand but this advice was offered with no guarantee as at the end of the day its the CPS, your solicitor and your barrister who will present a case and the judge to decide not any one else.
The cases you quote above mean hee haw in Scotland as the Law is different here.
As with most things it is up to you to prove you have a lawful reason for carrying said knife. I carried a Leatherman Wave on my belt for 5 years in the army and almost 3 years as a police officer. Both jobs which I had a lawful reason to carry a bladed article with a locking blade. If you have a reasonable reason for carrying it, then no right minded reasonable cop will bother you.
Sorry I haven't a clue about Scottish law, I have wrongly assumed it would be the same, but going back to my earlier post. The cases you quote above mean hee haw in Scotland as the Law is different here.
that id make it an x21 would it not. That's why I have a 4D cell Maglite at the side of my bed
yeah, i bought it for myself one x mas or it might of been a birthday come to think about it, i tend to use any reason for an excuse to spend stupid money on something sometimes.Phhh maglite! This is the ultimate in search lights and personal defence

UK law on blades is non locking and 3" or under.
That is without good reason to carry it at the time ie pocket knives for that once in a blue moon occasion.
If you have good reason to have it at the time you could carry a machete on your hip a large bowie knife etc.
