Leather cup washers

Hi All. We have got a couple of old garden sprayers, in the Repair Cafe this week. Both need washers one (inch +) as per the title. Has anyone got a supplier please? We may get more in, so not really after one knocking around in someone's workshop (but that would be nice) Thanks all.

Just had a look at their shop on e-bay. that place is worth a drive over to. Proper old school hardware shop

Try base-camp they are popular for cup washers used restoring stationary engine pumps.

Time isn't on my side, should have one by Wednesday, it's polished just needs assembling now. It gets handed back on Saturday. There is supposed to be some radio presenter coming as we won an award for what we do (see my other thread)

You don't need much to make your own.
Piece of leather - 3 quid delivered from ebay in my case.
Soak it in warm water while you have tea.
After you've washed up, had a cuppa, take soggy piece of leather, wrap around suitable sized former -in my case a 1/2 drive socket - place jubliee clip around outside to hold in place. Leave over night - or until tea time the following day.

Remove jubilee clip, remove from former, carefully cut to size, fit to object (in my case, my dad's, probably my grandad's, Kismet Lorry footpump, and use.

Soak it in warm water while you have tea.

With the price of electricity these days, that is costly. Soak it in the tea and by the time you reach the bottom it will be piable enough.
