Our youngest son turns 17 next year and we'll get him on the road by buying him a learner car like we did for his elder brother.
First time round we bought a VW Up which was a decent little car, group 1 insurance, £20 tax. Anything we buy will need to be as cheap to insure as possible.
Just wondering should we go down the same route again, VW, Skoda, Seat version of the same car or consider Peugeot 107, Citroen C1, Toyota Aygo triplets as well?
They'd all be serviced by me so dealer servicing costs are not an issue.
We do a lot of travelling with no2 son for his swimming and it's likely he'll continue to do so once he passes his test so need something that will happily rack up the miles.
Does anyone have experience of the above?
Any other suggestions you'd recommend or totally avoid for that matter?
