learner cant get started help please!

I have a S/H Eland 130. Got the board fixed, bought a new (cheapo) torch and borrowed my mates argoshield, but cant get past base. The wire repeatedly fuses itself into the tip after just a few seconds of welding and the welding just makes blobs of metal that dont stick. Obviously either equipement fault or I'm doing something fundementally wrong. Help! Steve.

Wind the wire speed up and or lower the power

check the wire speed and work out the speed m/min and compare to the "guide" posted on here in tutorial

Make a little table of wire speeds for the various settings avaliable on the machine so at least you can have a idea what speed to start at

Yes it does, use the correct size tip for the wire. Size for size .6 tip for .6 wire.
