Leaking starter switch

Guys. Ive got me one of those there 50L Einhell compressors in me shed just for tyres and blowing the motorbike dry etc. On start up., and only whilst running, there is air escaping at quite a rate from the starter switch. (Not safety valve. Somewhere inside the switch unit) It wouldnt get any more than 30psi pressure. Having checked all the obvious air fittings to and from, i adjusted the starter switch with my hammer in a few places. This reduced but didnt completely stop the escape and it was able to run to cut off. Is there anything servicable inside there or is it a new switch?

There is a diaphragm in them.

It might not be the switch. It could be the non return valve on the receiver. I’ve had a similar problem with compressors.

There cheap enough just to replace if you are sure its the problem not the NRV

Thanks guys. Im assuming the NRV would allow the air to escape when not charging as well as charging. The fact my adjustable hammer partially fixed it, suggests its in the switch. On order £10

I always buy the bigger amperage switch and keep a spare in stock as they r so cheap...

Not sure of terminology but is it the off loader valve leaking that stops the motor having to push against cylinder pressure on restart?

Are you talking the non return valve that comes off the receiver (tank)? I checked that if so. All in order and doing what its supposed to be doing Pete.
