I have a poorly S1 landrover petrol tank to repair that is leaded together.
before all the petrol tank fuss kicks off, i am compltly happy that the tank is safe to work on now and no traces of fuel remain.
i have managed to undo the seams on the tank by gentely heating them to recover the pressed sides that are servicable. i now need to reattach them to a sheet that wraps around them.
origanly they were held together by what look like lead or solder.
any tips on how to go about re leading or soldering the new steel ontot he tank.
i'm guessing i have oxy propane but can get acetaline if required, more what flux and filler i need and tips on tecnique would be massivl appreciated
