Right, I have an few-years old Parweld XTS 142, which has been hugely useful for sticking metal to cow **** in fields, But my landrover is starting to fall into holes, and I'm not confident in doing bodywork with 1.6mm rods.
General stuff around here is normal, sensible car and normal metalwork welding, and just occasionally welding tractor implements back together.
So, time to buy a mig.
I'm mildly torn between
GYS SmartMIG 162
Parweld XTE 171C
R-Tech 180
Which as far as I can tell, much of a muchness, apart from the spool gun option on the r-tech.
But I'm also tempted by the likes of the static arc mig 200a, mostly because I'm a cheap cow and would rather spend less pennies, but I'm assuming they're just a bit crap.
Any pointers?
Ta!
