I managed to clout the remains of a tree stump with my mower, which now has a bent crankshaft
The machine is a ten year old Husqvarna with a Honda GCV160 engine. It’s been a very good machine and generally still in good nick, apart from now a massive vibration and not cutting evenly...
A new crank is £165, plus seals, and the pulley that I just bust trying to get it off, though I’ll also need a strap wrench (can make that) and puller, or a turn-key engine for £390 (assuming I can find the right variant).
Any thoughts or advice, do I just say it’s had its day and get a new one?
