Hi All,
I have an old metalworking lathe in the shed, which was working last year. Tried it today and it trips the house RCD. I have had a leak through the shed roof due to extreme weather, although the motor doesn't seem damp. It has run for a few seconds, then tripped out. Sometimes trips RCD right away. The motor is very old (Rubber Wiring, which I replaced the accessible parts of last year), capacitor mounted on top.
Has anyone got any suggestions what might be the cause/ possible things I can try?
Thanks, Vinmuller
