Whilst many things haven't improved much - or even gone backwards - modern paint systems have improved dramatically - the Forth bridge will now go 10 or even 20 years without recoating.
I want to start painting my Colchester Triumph lathe - a bit at a time.
I was thinking of blasting back to bare metal - then using Jotun 87 epoxy aluminium primer brushed on followed by Hardtop XP or similar.
Does anyone know the RAL code for Colchester Green?Do I use a gloss or satin finish? And will it look right I wonder?
My lathe is in great condition but hardly any paint left on it. I want something that will last forever
