Looking for observations /opinions on a set of gears I took a punt on locally back when I had the RandA lathe, thinking they'd fit it........they didn't.
These are they
The ones in pic #1 have a bore [as near as I can measure] of 0.465" (11.8mm) with a keyway and are numbered 24 25 27 33 36 42 48 60 75. I have no idea if these are metric or imperial.
The big one in the second pic has a bore of 0.655" (16.75mm) with no keyway [so I assume is not part of the set, although they all came together?] and is stamped 125 on one side and 127 on the other.
My question(s) are: 1) Would I be safe advertising them as a set? 2) How much are these likely to be worth? 3) What machine(s) would they be suitable for?
I've seen single gears listed on the 'Bay at a variety of prices, from £6 [ish] and upwards.
Over to those who know of such things..........
