All my S&B wheels have a keyway. Prreet sure the 1024 is the same.I found a reference to Atlas lathe (6") model having 24DP (https://www.hobby-machinist.com/threads/craftsman-101-lathe-change-gears.15503/) and also Smart & Brown 1024 VSL (http://www.tttg.org.au/Content/Docs/Articles/LatheChangeGears.pdf). You could send your picture to the Bracehand guy and he will tell you.
It does look vaguely like a Drummond change wheel with the two taper pin drive holes but it is not. Drummond ones would be 14dp and if original be made from a cast iron blank not turned from solid as that one appears.I would say Drummond lathe but I didn't think they did 24dp gears on them.
I have a Drummond long bed lathe.
Ain't sure what I am going to do with it yet. Removed a few weeks agoWell let's be honest, you were never going to have the short bed version now, were you?
