JammyI think I paid £2400 for the ultimate pack including delivery.
They have raised about £4 million. The product exists. Plenty of success stories with such things being crowdfunded.Seeing it’s a kickstarter, there is no guarantee you will even get it. If they don’t raise enough funds to produce them, it’s tough titty mate…That’s how crowdfunding works. Try find enough gullible ..err willing investors in the hope you get enough money in to make said item.
And has anybody actually had one delivered yet? They have raised about £4 million. The product exists. Plenty of success stories with such things being crowdfunded.
Well Joshua de Lisle has. I value his opinion. And he wouldn't get involved with them if he thought they were dodgy. Nothing to stop them being built at that price although they are significantly more expensive now.And has anybody actually had one delivered yet?
Joshua de Lisle would have got one irrespective of what he says to the contrary as he is a well followed you tube influencer and good for marketing purposes. Fred in the shed down the road isn’t…Well Joshua de Lisle has. I value his opinion. And he wouldn't get involved with them if he thought they were dodgy. once I see sponsored videos I treat everything the video shows or says with a large pinch of salt.Joshua de Lisle would have got one irrespective of what he says to the contrary as he is a well followed you tube influencer and good for marketing purposes. Fred in the shed down the road isn’t…
In other words unviable to make at that price….Funny that, so not a case of established companies fleecing customers by charging £20-£30k for one that actually does what it says on a box, that’s what they cost to produce with quality components
£2500 v £7500. Serious bargain. You can put up with a few bugs for that priceYou're quite right, there is no guarantee of receiving anything through Kickstarter campaigns. I'm fairly confident backers will receive the items in this case, my main concern, as with most campaigns, is you're essentially buying a prototype.... potentially something with bugs, reliability issues or short life. That's the risk - my two previous Kickstarters delivered and the products were good, just hope this lives up to expectations.
true, but there's still a lot of money in the retail prices simply for the supply/demand of novel technology, and cornered resource to design/make them. As well as, of course, the quality components/made in western world etc.that’s what they cost to produce with quality components
Laser welders, or spot welders?I had a job interview the other day (didn't get the job) at a place where they had laser welders in a fixed position for lithium battery assembly. I didn't see any PPE around and there are people working near the welders. I had actually noticed this in their promotional videos.
OK, but I don't have enough context or any detail to know what type of laser welder is being used, what is being done, and how, so I can't really comment.
