What is the toner anyway ? Graphite dust or something ?
I've been using brother mono lasers for the last 15 years, get good print value from them
Thanks for thatI run a Brother mono laser and refill the cartridges. Buy the toner from fleabay and it comes with instructions, a reset tool and replacement reservoir cap.
Wear a dust mask and do it out of doors!
The name on the toner is Uni-Kit and the supplier is www.topinks.co.uk
There are two basic main types of toner, mono component and dual component.
Mono component black toner particles mainly consists of carbon (for the colour), and an iron particle encapsulated in plastic.
Dual component particles (usually found in colour laser print devices) have a colour pigment, wax, then encased in plastic. There is then is a separate iron particle which is pre mixed in if the machine has automatic carrier refresh.
The plastic is used to fuse the toner to the paper using a combination of heat and pressure. The wax in colour toner is to prevent image shift or ghosting during the fixing process.
