Laser level for outdoor use

The one in the second post is a red laser, I’m told green is better for outside use. Would be good if someone can confirm that.

Really for outdoor use you want a receiver
There are a couple of normal lasers that work with receivers but usually the building site type laser is a different type very difficult to see at any distance but will be picked up by the reciever alot further away
They can easily do the diagonal of a football pitch

just buy an indoor one and some cheap water levels for outside work

I saw a video recently where someone used their phone as a laser receiver for long distance use. Point the camera on the same side as the screen towards the laser and the beam shows on the screen. I have no idea whether it works at all, how accurate it is and it would surely require some calibration. But if someone wants to try it and report back...
