@Paul. So hopefully the following discription will work..
If we have a 3 inch square and use the bottom right of the square to put the hole in (centre of hole is 2inch in and 2inch down)
This pattern is 7 along and 3 down repeating the 3 inch square, with a final inch added to the bottom and right hand side to even it all up
The holes probably need to be 1.850 and the hat of the collet will hold them from going through the max diameter of the collet is 2.015" (5999 size as in the attached picture)
I think that works ..it does in my head and not had a beer yet !!
