Hi all,
I'm obviously fresh meat and am new to MIG welding, i'm currently restoring a 1972 minget and am reasonably happy with some of the welding i've done.
I use a flow rate of 10 l/min on pub gas using a Cosmo 130T (I know, should've bought a different one). The advice i'm after is how much visible penetration should i have on the bottom plate when doing a lap-joint as i've been unable to locate any photographs from this site or the books i've read.
Some of the joints i do are using a joggler/edge setter should i also see penetration below this joint, and if so how much?
If anyone has penetration photographs of these joints i would be extremely grateful,
many thanks,
Dave
