do you do your twisting and bending hot or cold?

if cold, what sort of spring back do you get when bending scrolls or 'u' shapes?

i have scroll jigs in work, but havent tried using them yet

I've only bent my stuff cold as I don't have any gas gear, spring back is minimal you just add a bit more push to it till it's stay where you want it.

cheers norm, the thickest stuff i woill be bending around scrolls will be around 8mm

Thanks I'm slowly filling it with ornamental bits and bobs, It's my master plan given the state of the economy, when I retire I am going to weigh it in and live off the proceeds

All in good time mate, Im guessing your in your mid twenties, if so I've got thirty years on you and am only just getting some gear together, get through your apprentiship and you'll get your garden, shed and all the thingamagics you could wish for.

close, im 21

i kind of already have some kit, but i cant use it as its in storage in my old mans shed, with no power supply

its only a cheap 60 quid 5 speed bench pilar drill, a 6 inch bench grinder, a record vice, and a few little woodworking powertools, like a router and a circular saw. sds drill and a hammer drill, and a 115 and 230mm angle grinder.

i know this may sound like alot of kit, and i do consider myself lucky to already have it at the start of my apprenticeship, but without being able to use it, its not much help lol

obviously, we all know why i cant bring it all to the flat lol
