Land Rover stolen
My Brothers Land Rover Series 90 was stolen off his drive last night
by some B*****ds they took crook lock off and found battery isolator it was on a private number plate FRA1L if any body has seen it please send message or contact Police
It was fully restored from ground up has got a full galv chassis rock sliders
the rear corner panel have got Ali checker plate not off the shelf was all custom made from 1/4 plate also on bottom of front wings there is only 2 front seats the middle is a custom made lock box with radio built in it
it has got a TDI Discovery engine in it
the back door has had the spare wheel taken off and the carrier and a circle of plate put on
the land rover is Green with a cream roof there is windows in the back the seats had been removed
will post more info when I know more
It has a Come Up winch on the front, black modular steel wheels
taken from the Old Tupton ,Chesterfield ,Derbyshire area

I thought I recognised the reg number, I've seen it on the road but not lately. They are a popular target round here unfortunately but a few have turned up after a couple of days just driven and dumped.

Must be even worse having a vehicle that you have made yourself to your own spec nicked than just another factory version.

Unfortunately utility Land Rovers are big meccano kits and easy to strip to unidentifiable pieces to use or sell.
Hope he gets it back though.

Unfortunately I think the more toys you put on them the more it attracts the thieving low life scum.
Friend of mine had his 110 nicked years ago fitted out with safari guard snorkel and rock sliders, BFG muds on modular wheels etc. They came well prepared with burning gear to cut the padlock off his steering wheel disc lock in broad daylight in a car park in Huddersfield. It's never been seen since.

I'm afraid it's a sign of the times that this sort of thing is more or less accepted. I was only thinking as I was driving behind a transit van the other day, when is the last time I saw a van with rear windows in? It used to be the norm in the seventies and even early eighties. These days people wouldn't dare give people a glimpse of what's inside their van for fear of it going walkies.

On my route to work I regularly see a guy carrying all his power tool cases out to his van - probably had his van "done" in the past.

It`s a real shame. And likely that it will get stripped and every bit sold. The Insurance cannot compensate you the work put out.
