Mileage if well maintained and with a sound chassis should not put you off.
Currently 215K and still going strong.

Well, looked at one a td5 earlier today. Wasted trip and an offended enthusiast. I wasnt wearing my rose tinted glasses, looked fine on the outside, shiney, alloys, new seats, checker plate, all sorts of other tat. Shame he missed the basics, like the rusty bits.
Oops put my finger through an out rigger, and I wasnt trying. There were a couple of other very thin patches, which to me, though no biggy, means it moves into the project category.
His dummy fell out when I suggested it was a project in need of a new chassis, insisted I was wrong.
This is going to be very common unless it's had a new chassis. In fact I'd make it an essential searching aspect that a new galv chassis has been fitted if you want to avoid further wasted journeys. Forget "chassis fully repaired" as only brand new galv is worth considering if you aren't after a project.Well, looked at one a td5 earlier today. Wasted trip and an offended enthusiast.
