Land Rover V8 restoration - what have I got myself into?

SS Vs Galv bolts seems to be a holy-war type question on Landrover forums, but the proponents are able to quite convincingly point at vehicles that haven't disintegrated into a pile of white flakes...

But everyone agrees that grease or sealant in SS threads is a must.

Just under a year on had to remove the bolts to get the panel off.

Low strength thread lock definitely the right choice, little bit of force to crack them and the pop right off.
