My old s3 had Salisbury axle and heavy duty leaf springs, it basically didn't have suspension.

just keep cutting the ends off the short springs with a grinder till it gets comfy ,, all we ever did. granted you have to bend the retainers , but we never even took the springs out to do them .
Many years ago we put a full set of parabolic springs on a SWB series three, it transformed the ride to that of a coil sprung defender.
The parabolic I've put on mine have, couldn't be better
Rocky Mountain and Pro comps on mine - transformed the ride, that was many years ago mind.
My 2A was much modified. Single leafs all round and added inboard coilovers on the back.
