Mate, I see it at work all the time, tech's bring a car in having read the jobcard - already decided what the cause is, do the tests, hmmmm... something wrong with the multimeter / wrong test suggested / this diag system is s*it... change the part that 'it always is', fault still there - that's the point it gets handed over to me or another one of the more experienced techs. back to basics, lose the confirmation bias - job jobbed, send it back with the work required, move on.This is a common issue across all Internet forums. The OP poses a question thinking they already know the answer and just wants people to confirm their opinion, then gets a right strop on when they get answers that differ from their opinion.
