laminate wood?

been cutting laminate wood to size(quite a few) the blade isn't sharp as it was.
what's the best blade for cutting this?
currently I've got a 216 x60t (blunt)blade in and I've bought another of the same.
the saw bench that I have is a dustless one(can't buy it now) sawkism its the same as the sirocco dustless table saw 8.5". plenty of info on you tube.

man made laminate,
the blade should be in the higher numbers....
my 305mm DeWalt chop saw has 90 teeth....
after a bigish job the blade gets reground....

particle board and MDF etc are also heavy on blades......
unless u have a good sharpening man, treat them as disposable......
for jobs like that Lidil's blade per £ take some beating......

touch them up on a green sharpening wheel by hand, no need to pay anyone. just a light touch on the edge and there sharp as new ive done 4 of mine now

I touch the edges on mine with a diamond hone now and again. Gets a bit more life out of them.

the blade that's in now is knackered.
I cut some decking to make some trophs for my wife and never notice the screw .
consequently it knock a couple of teeth out. I'll make a knife out of that.
bought another for a tenner of ebay. I don't do a lot of woodwork ,just now and again. thanks for the info.

The anti-scratch coating on laminate has a lot of silica in it and destroys blades.

The diamond-tipped type of blade designed for cutting cement board works well with coated laminate, downside being that it is coarse (more teeth = more diamonds = even more cost) so the finish is not so good. However, you should never see the cut edge of a laminate floor. Expensive but lasts forever. Shop around as prices vary a lot. As above, more teeth = more money.

i cut through a worktop with a chainsaw or should i say tried to sparks came of it and it wouldnt cut just getting through the top surface . one knackered blade in 5 seconds
