Hi guys, I'm going to paint the inside of my track car soon white, my question is should I sand the final coat before lacquer and if so what grade wet and dry?
I take it it's 1k you are using and the white you are using definitely needs a clear coat.
Anyway you shouldn't need to touch the base coat before clear coat using a acrylic 1k. You only need to touch it if there are defects like runs or muck has got stuck in it.
Just going to rattle can it it's just Ford Frozen white so the same colour all the transit vans etc are painted in I did actually buy 2K but after reading the other threads on safety I might give it a miss...
It should tell you on the paint whether it needs a cleat coat or not.
Richie00boy is quite right with the clear should be a applied a certain time after (varies a bit from manufacturers seen some less than an hour). Saying that I have done the clear coat a few days after on a few occasions and got away with it with no problems.
