L-R window woes..

Hi, put this here, so hope it is the right section:
Friend in Portugal has year 2000 TD5 Disco. For the forth time, the passenger window lift has failed. The plastic wheels/rollers in the lift arms just disintergrate. There, bits quite expensive and involve the whole lift.
Does anybody know the size and bore of the rollers, so I can spin up a few on the lathe?

Well, blow me down.. I didn't look at all the pix. But, no inside diameter for the roller and, more important, the 'pins' are rivited over, so have to be made too. The US price looks quite good, but likely huge probs with customs and taxes, not to mention time. I once bought some boat plans from the US, when in Portugal. Eventually cost me double, after tax and a month to clear them.

I think there is and not too expensive. But the customs....

Bit of background... I was involved in a build of a 40ft motorsailer. The German shipping outfit I sorted things for out there found a couple of masts in Hamburg. Good price, so sent them out. After much hassle with the customs, we sent a lorry to collect them from Lisbon.. Well, we got the masts, but every single fitting, winches, etc had been stripped off. No come back... Not as bad as the guy that bought in a big concrete mixer, one of those fixed ones that handle big loads. When he went to get it out of the customs compound, there was just an oil stain on the ground... No come back, again. I could go on about this..Having lost an entire shipment of goods from Marroco to them.
What might work, is send to here, then forward to there, so in the EU.

He is not very practical and the 'pins' that rivit over are looking to make it worth trying UK via here.

Sorry - I'm not sure what you are actually after. If you need to make the rollers as well (Whch I think is what you're saying) surely you just make the pin and roller to match?
Perhaps an M4 screw with washer in the end to save peening the rivet?
I may have a motor with arm somewhere in the garage I'd happily donate (If it's useful, and I can find it).

It got more complicated after I looked at ALL the pix. I can easily make nylon rollers or metal ones, but the pins are a lot more difficult, So I am advising him to try to get the online stuff.

I have some lifters from a 200tdi disco1 that had electric windows kicking about somewhere if they're the same. Do you know if they changed much during its transition to mk2?

After digging around a bit more, we have found a source in UK and a family member is taking them out.
