Knob

When I had my MOT a few months back, the tester must have been wearing a ring or something with a sharp edge. Big scratch up the left of the leather steering wheel and a tear on my knob!
While the steering wheel has became less noticable, the leather knob is ruined.
I've trimmed the edge to stop it getting worse.

I've done vinyl motorbike seats before but I'm unsure how this is constructed?
Any ideas if its possible to recover it?

If it's anything like the GM/Stellantis stuff the legend pops out and your knob is an interference fit on the stick

The official GM way to get the knob off was pop the legend out, drill a hole in the top of the knob and screw an 8mm bolt in to touch the top of the stick and draw your knob up off the stick
