Rothenberger do not make a good deal of their own stuff. They buy it in and rebadge it, so it is possible that the tool is made by one of those two.

I agree with @Barking Mat. It's best to use the optimum tool for each specific job, and I try to do that.
I'll admit, though, that I recently bought one of the Knipex parallel-jaw 'pliers wrenches,' which is handy to have in my back pocket or tool belt when I'm working out in the field or doing odd jobs around our property and can't conveniently carry many tools around with me, since it can suffice (at least in some situations) for a few different tools.
My favorite Knipex tool is a pair of round-nose pliers, which is great for things like bending solid-conductor wire into loops for terminal screws without gouging up the wire. Tonight I was cleaning the contents of one of my tool boxes and just finished washing the gunk off of these two guys a few minutes ago.
