Foam knee pad inserts in overalls or work trousers can be fantastic, if you're on your knees alot.Depends on what work you're doing, I get on better with the work trousers with knee pad pockets and inserts rather than pads with straps.

Yeah. Position of pads is another issue I'd forgotten about not bothered with em for a while because of it.Dickies do a set of trousers with cordura knee pad pickets...might help?
I find most manufacturers knee pad pockets are on my shins which is a pain. Tried redback kneepads at considerable cost but they don't seem to fit standard pickets and are very bulky.
