What colour light?, green usually means the drive is ok and waiting for a command, or a parameter needs setting, Red is usually a sign of something more serious. Its been a while since i fitted a lenze, you need to sit down with the manual and read through the set up procedure.

With the motor off at the control box I get a solid green light. As soon as the motor goes on, click, lights out.

Here's the wiring of the motor. All as per the panel. But it means there are 2 lines from the incoming power going to one terminal, is that right? Shouldn't it be one line to each terminal regardless of colour?

Should be one power wire to each terminal A,B and C along with two internal wires from the motor on each terminal. Terminal `on' should be empty in delta. You seem to have for wires to terminal C and only two internal to B.

It looks like you are shorting 2 phases, hopefully the drive will have protected itself.
take out your wiring to the motor,
then to wire it in Delta connect red and brown to A
Yellow and white to B
blue and black to C

Then connect the 3 phase supply from the drive to A, B, C in any order, connect the earth to the earth teminal,

Yes I managed not to kill it despite my best attempts. Oh well, thats why we do these tests
