1/2" router and a guide of some sort to run along. I used a spirt level with several measurements before cutting and the cutter rotating (in the waste) so it pulls against your guide.

To make a guide for a saw or a router get a 1, a straight edge 2 , a piece of thin ply about 250 wide , fix straight edge to,it about 10 mm further away from the edge than the distance from blade to edge of tool , set tool against straight edge and cut waste ply off , you now have a guide that can have its cut edge placed on the cut mark and away you go, as said use fine blades, cut from underneath with a circular saw , or new cutter in a router,

I think it was about £30 when I bought it 20 years ago.

Had a moment a few years back fitting worktops for a sparky. Feeling rough and he wouldn't shut up and let me work.

Fitted the bush upside down and trashed a jig. Half the days earnings down the drain. Still use it for dog bones and radius.

I've just done 2 joints on a regular laminate work top (my first ever!)...whatever they recommend to do the cutting I'd say buy several and just do each joint with fresh stuff.

....also I'd recommend a good sturdy pair of brown trousers too!

Did my first kitchen work tops 5 years ago , only the laminate /chipboard stuff . Bought a jig and erbauer router from screwfix.
Measured 6 times /routed once Came out very well .
Used colourfill on the joints but unfoutunatly the joints still got moisture in and swelled .(it was near the sink )
It not a problem with your composite tho !

I did a load of passes on the corner joints...it's quicker to take my time Vs ordering a new top!

I destroyed one cutting template when I lifted the spinning router

Was happy with the end result...but I was very nervous when doing the cuts!...done couple weeks ago so still excited about the achievement
