Kitchen extract.... Over-hob extracter with a charcoal filter. Spark says to put an extractor in, says it needs to be 150mm dia. Does it need to have an over run like a bathroom extrator?
If its on an outside wall then fit a grill and ducting through the wall...it's like night and day for extracting cooking smells and fumes going outside compared to recirc through the Charcoal filter.Kitchen extract.... no chance of piping under the upstairs floor between the joists to the outside depending on which way they goThe over hob extractor is on a party wall so can only be a charcoal extractor unfortunately. I know what you mean though

Difficult job, if not impossible.no chance of piping under the upstairs floor between the joists to the outside depending on which way they go

If a over hob extractor is used can I do away with a seperate extractor?
Theres usually a way with enough messing about, the rectangular ducting is very neat!
