Kink in microbore

if you can pull a bit of slack straighten out the bend thats caused the kink, you dont need much - then using large pliers squeeze either side of the flat to push the pipe open
obviously dont go mad, microbore is pretty soft stuff and so hasnt work hardened too badly at this point so is unlikley to split. Obviously avoid bending it again at this point or it may well split.
If its totally flat and the pipe bent at about 90* then there is a risk itll crack so be prepared to drain the system and fix

Release pressure from system, close off all rad valves, if you want easy, cut and replace with copper and use tectite push fit straights, if you can get all the water out of the pipe you could solder.

System should be balanced at rads to ensure they all working correctly, you may also have a system bypass valve in the system.

micro bore is ok but normaly when new if its kept toped up with fernox can normaly last for quite a few years but after 10 ish years you start to see problems if not got the addatives way sooner

I fitted our system in 1980 using microbore and Yorkshire branded twin entry valves, over the years I have added some rads and replaced others when redecorating. We still have 3 of the original rads on the same t/e valves. I have never had any problems apart from an ocasional pump replacement or zone valve head. Around 6 years ago I replaced the boiler with a combi, converted to a sealed system, got rid of the F&E tank and fitted a Magnaclean have always had inhibitor in it but to me that makes it 37 years old and still going strong.
It's how you install it that counts

the only thing u get is if u don't use inhibitor is a sludged up system early corrosion on rads and cast iron boiler

just squeeze the sides up a bit with pliers it will go square but let more water through . ive seen worse

admit 10 years is a general time scale you can have cars run 50000 or 250000 miles the ones that get the looking after normaly go near the longest but not allways

Mine is microbore 8mm installed in 1996, never had any additives, only recently had a magnetic filter fitted, when the new boiler was fitted,

Never had any problems and still working fine

We do have very soft water though.

I would chop it out and use 10mm plastic push fit make sure it's barrier pipe Hep20 ,no soldering as said make sure no burrs on the copper when pushing the fittings on !

query here can you trace the pipes from where they are feeding from and then trace them to each radiator

if possible can you draw your run from main house to radiators

plastics crap and allways will be. its cheap and fast thats why plumbers love it .all my house is in copper and heating in microbore and no leaks in over 30 years . its well proven
