Love King Dick tools. I buy them whenever possible for work (I buy a lot of the hand tools for our company) and have a load of KD stuff at home as well. A lot of made-in-england stuff but also some of the newer chromed import stuff which is still decent. Their pliers are also (or have been, at least) made by Knipex.
But on three separate occasions the suppliers (different distributors) are unable to complete an order... citing lead times of several months... The order has always came through, however. Silly things like a set of ring spanners, an odd size of hex head socket, etc.
If they are running their stock levels THIS lean, then what are they playing at? How can they hope to get repeat business when their standard range of stuff (all listed with RRPs on their website) is sometimes unobtainable? This has been something I've noticed for over a year now.
I'm not getting a good feeling about them.
