Kincrome tool boxes at homebase

Cant help with drawer weight, but kincrome is decent gear, Australian and popular there.

It is absolutely not a homebase brand and its a shame they will immediately get a bad name about themselves because homebase is selling them.

The wifes cousins husband was showing me some if it when we were there a couple year back.

They have recently started distribution in the UK and I guess homebase is one if them, they will be overpriced at homebase no doubt.

Can't you hang your prybars on the side or are your colleagues a bit light fingered?

Homebase was bought out by Bunnings which is basically the B&Q of Oz. Kinchrome came out when I was doing my apprenticeship, it was medium quality I would say but then improved and was reasonable quality. Not sure what the current stuff is like, probably okay I'd assume and quite popular in Oz and is a competitor to sidchrome which is pretty decent stuff.

they look identical to the cosco ones.... and they sell them at about half that price!

I've had one these in the back of my works van for 18 months now, removed the handles/wheels, cut some plywood to fill the space underneath, then screw the plywood to the vans floor, I also build an angle iron frame around it to stop flexing and bolted it to the bulkhead.


Absolutely no sign of any problems so far.

Order it online and they delivery it to your door.

Highly recommend by me.

And beats Halfreads prices and quality

Well i bit the bullet and bought one..had to o 2 trips in car and take the castors off which look and feel relly sturdy and look ro have grease nipples on.

Will get it to work and set it up monday..im like a kid ay christmas now cant wait lol

Certianly is...theyve had these in ages and iv lways looked..apparently when they got them they had 2 delivered and iv just bought the 1st one.

Some of the welds/tacs look abit jubious but it feels solid and its relly bloody heavy. Botom box said 120kg on box and top was 66kg.
I will get a pic of it next to my halfords top box on monday as it will give a good perspective of size for people then.

Fixed castors have grease nipples on the shaft amd the turn castors have one for shaft and one on the spinny bit lol.

Don't be too harsh on them, the boys will have had a few stubbies by the time they got to welding.

Now comes the expensive bit, you have to fill it with tools and you can get lots in those boxes.....

Filling it shouldnt be an issue got alot filled saves having it stacked on top of each other.

There's a bloke around wakey that supplies toolbox graphics. Not bad prices from what ive seen. Called watp my box (I think)
